Prologue:
The Haunting Retreat

Siddharth, a software engineer from Mumbai, desperately needed an escape from the relentless pace of city life. The car crash he had survived, which had claimed the lives of passengers in the other car, had left him emotionally scarred and ridden with guilt. Although he was released as innocent due to a lack of evidence, the weight of the tragedy hung heavy on his shoulders.

Seeking solace and respite, Siddharth rented a secluded bungalow in a serene South Indian village. The tranquil surroundings and the distant sound of crashing waves offered the promise of healing and peace. He hoped this retreat would help him recover from the trauma and guilt that gnawed at him.

However, as Siddharth settled into the bungalow, the tranquility of the place began to unravel. Each night, he was tormented by a series of terrifying events. Unearthly noises echoed through the house, disembodied whispers filled the air, and horrifying apparitions appeared before him.

To make matters worse, notes began to appear in various rooms of the bungalow, bearing threatening messages like "I know who you are," "I know where you are," and "I know what you did." Panic and paranoia gripped Siddharth as he couldn't fathom who was behind these sinister messages and haunting occurrences.

The encounters escalated, taking a deadly turn each day. Siddharth narrowly survived a small fire that mysteriously erupted in the kitchen, a near-fatal accident when his car's brakes failed, and a fall that left him with a fractured leg. With each ordeal, he grew increasingly desperate to uncover the identity of his tormentor and escape the nightmarish cycle.
